Eind van de maand

Het is alweer de laatste dag van de maand. Wat heb ik deze maand afgekregen? De Lucy Boston quilt, een Tildahart en een muts en col. Op het moment ben ik aan het handquilten( au arme handjes) aan mijn huisjesquilt. Ik ben meer van het machinale maar kreeg hem niet mooi. Dus uithalen en nu met de hand.
It is already the last day of the month. What did I finish this month: The Lucy Boston quilt, a Tilda heart and a hat and scarf. Now I am handquilting (my hands are hurting). I always like to machinequilt but it did not look nice, so I am handquilting instead.

Bee en B & F (Blomkes en Flinterkes)

Morgen hebben we weer bee. Deze keer bij Cathy thuis. Voor mij handig want dat is op loopafstand. Wat neem ik dit keer mee? Blok 3 van de B & F quilt. Ik hoor jullie al zeggen waar is blok 2 dan? Kijk maar onderaan de tekst, deze is net af. Ik moet wel doorwerken want ik lig een paar blokken achter.

Tomorrow we have another bee. This time at Cathy's. For me easy because I can walk to her. What do I take withe me. Block 3 of B & F. What happenend to blocke 2? You can see it below. I now am just 2 blocks behind.

Farmers Wife

Iedereen hartelijk bedankt voor de felicitaties voor mijn DH. We hebben een leuk weekend gehad.Het is weer maandag dus ik kan jullie weer 2 nieuwe blokken laten zien. Het zijn blok 56 Maple leaf en blok 69 Practical Orchard.
Thanks for everybody for the congratiolations for my husband. We had a nice weekend.It is monday again so I can show you two new blocks. They are block 56 Maple leaf and block 69 Practical Orchard.

Muts en col

Gisteren ben ik met jarige DH uit eten geweest. Vanmiddag krijg ik visite. Het lijkt nu wel voorjaar buiten. Toch heb ik mijn muts maar afgebreid en ben begonnen aan een bijpassende col. Heb ik het in ieder geval op tijd af.
Yesterday I went out for dinner with my DH for his birthday. This afternoon there will be birtdayvisit. The weather looks almost as the beginning of spring. But I finished my hat anyway and will knit a scarf with it. It will be finished in time for the next winter.

Huisjes plus rand

Deze week heb ik gewerkt aan mijn rand voor de huisjes. Dat was nog een heel gepuzzel. Een effen rand bleek toch niet naar mijn zin te zijn. Nu zijn het punten geworden in de kleuren van mijn hoekblokjes.
These week I worked on the border of my scrappy houses quilt. I did not like a plain border and now use the same fabric as in the cornerstones. I think it is ok now.

Bee werkstukken

Ellen

Woensdagmorgen hebben we weer een bee gehad. Ellen is bijna klaar met haar hexagonquilt. Tonny heeft als nieuwe oma weer een quilt voor haar kleindochter gemaakt. Elly heeft opgeruimd en vond een borduurwerk waar alleen de letter Z nog van geborduurd moest worden. Dus na meer dan 20 jaar wordt deze ook af gemaakt.

Wednesmorning we had our little bee. Ellen has almost finished here hexagonquilt. Tonny made for her first granddaughter a quilt. Elly cleaned up her room and found this embroidery. She needs only to do the letter Z. After more then 20 years she now will finish it.

Ik moet straks boodschappen doen. Extra veel boodschappen want dit leuke jongetje wordt morgen 72 jaar.
I have to do a lot of shopping because this cute little boy will be 72 years old tomorrow.

Blomkes en Flinterkes

Blok1 van Blomkes en Flinterkes heb ik af. Blok 2 heb ik nu getekend. Klaske heeft op 15 februari blok 4 al op haar site gezet, dus ik loop nog wel een paar blokken achter.
I finished block 1 of the quilt Blomkes and Flinterkes. I draw block 2. Klaske has already block 4 on her site, so I am 3 blocks behind.
